What we offer
All work carried out or directly supervised by Andre Magdich CPEng.
Most councils now require that your development does not increase stormwater runoff. We design the detention tanks, ponds, or swales needed to meet that requirement and get your consent approved.
Every council applies stormwater neutrality differently. We have active experience with Napier, Auckland, Horizons, Rangitikei, Hamilton, and others across the North Island. From a 2-lot infill needing a single tank to a 90-lot subdivision requiring a detention pond, we design and size the system to meet your council's specific rules.
If your site is near a stream, floodplain, or shows flood risk on council maps, you likely need a flood assessment. We model the flood risk on your site and set safe building levels so your consent can proceed.
We use industry-standard HEC-RAS 2D flood modelling on high-resolution terrain data. The result tells you and your council exactly how your site behaves in a flood event, including climate change scenarios. Our flood assessments have been validated by real events, including Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023.
Subdividing land requires engineered stormwater, wastewater, and water supply networks. We design the full system from concept through to construction drawings, council approval, and S224c sign-off so your titles can be issued.
We work to NZS 4404:2010 and each council's specific standards. Projects range from small infill sites with shared service connections through to large greenfield subdivisions with full road, pipe, and pump station design.
New subdivisions and development sites need engineered road layouts, access designs, and driveways that meet council standards. We design these to NZS 4404:2010 and your council's specific requirements, ready for consent and construction.
This includes road cross-sections, pavement design, vehicle tracking, and access geometry for both residential streets and private driveways.
Many councils require that infrastructure reports are signed off by a Chartered Professional Engineer before they will accept a consent application. If your designer needs a CPEng to review and authorise their work, we provide that independent sign-off.
Every report is reviewed at principal engineer level by Andre Magdich CPEng. We have reviewed and signed off 30+ infrastructure reports for Auckland-based projects, covering stormwater, flood, wastewater, and water supply.
If you have a flooding or stormwater dispute heading to court, we provide independent expert evidence. Andre has appeared in the High Court representing Hastings District Council on flooding and stormwater matters.
Available for councils, insurers, and legal teams who need independent, technically credible evidence from a CPEng-qualified civil engineer.
We prepare the engineering content needed for your resource consent application and handle council queries (Section 92 and RFI requests) when they come back. We have worked with more than ten councils across New Zealand.
Post-consent, we manage engineering plan approval, construction monitoring, and S224c certification so your subdivision titles can be issued.
